Receptionist: We offer a competitive benefit package. The qualified candidate must possess excellent customer service skills and the ability to work with a diverse group of people. This position is responsible for greeting visitors, handling incoming calls, scheduling appointments, medical charting, placing appointment reminder calls, entering payments, printing receipts, pulling charts, stocking shelves, inventory and ordering of supplies, minimal office cleaning, and performing general administrative duties.
The hospital hours of operation are listed below. This does not mean you will be working all of these hours. Knowing our hours of operation will help to identify any possible conflicts with your schedule.
Monday – Friday 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Saturday (every other) 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Saturday (opposing Sat) 7 a.m. to 9 a.m.
Sunday 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant: You are key to the Patient-Based workflow pattern of Germantown Parkway Animal Hospital.
You will utilize your in-depth and highly developed veterinary technology to manage and direct the patient flow in the hospital.
- Your skills will serve as a focal point assisting veterinarians in the practice of veterinary medicine and surgery.
- You will be a liaison between the veterinarian and the client by communicating with and educating our pet owners regarding health and care related issues (by phone and in person), and providing recommendations to pet owners regarding the optimal care of their pets.
- You will provide nursing care for in-hospital patients, maintain medical records, and perform laboratory in-hospital procedures.
- Above all, you will appreciate the love that owners have for their pets.

KENNEL ATTENDANT: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Walks through the kennel areas checking each animal individually for any abnormal activity such as vomiting, diarrhea, or blood in the cage or run.
Reports all abnormal activity to supervisors, doctors and nurses, makes a file so the animal can be examined.
Recognizes emergency situations, enlisting the aid of doctors and nurses. Marks charts correctly for eating, drinking, fecal and urine production.
Feeds and waters animals according to schedules.
Cleans and disinfects cages, runs and yards as needed using hoses and spray bottles of disinfectant. Uses a squeegee to remove excess water.
Cleans cat litter boxes and disinfects kitty condos. Cleans and disinfects all food and water bowls.
Moves animals to yards so that the runs can be disinfected; returns the animal to the correct run after the run is clean and dry.
Picks up soiled bedding and moves it to laundry area. Places clean bedding in run with animals.
Operates washer and dryer to clean kennel bedding and hospital laundry.
Performs baths on those animals that quality for a bath, the day before they go home.
Administers medications to those animals that require medications while they are boarding.
Administers all flea and tick control on all animals upon request.
Checks animals out for boarding, speaks with owners, brings up all belongings.
Take clients on kennel tours, explain services we offer. Works outside all year round, part of the job requires working without the aid of air conditioning for extended periods of time: moving animals into and out of the yards during cleaning/disinfecting the indoor runs.
