Dog Training

Germantown Parkway Animal Hospital’s dog training classes are held for six weeks, 50 minutes each week. In the course, you as the owner will learn to communicate better with your dog. This will help discourage bad behavior and encourage positive ones to develop. In addition, a more fulfilling lifetime bond will develop between you and your pet.

In each class, your pet will be trained using positive reinforcements (treats) and by using a clicker. A clicker is a small device that comes complimentary with your course. By using a clicker, you will be able to target the desired behaviors quicker than by saying "good dog" or any other verbal praise. Basically, it is a bridge between the action and the reward.
